Sync some folders

Hi All,

I have a copy of TB with some folders that I would like to copy to Voyager.

I have tried the Sync route a few times. All that seems to happen is that TB is overwritten by the Voyager files structure or visa versa depending on which run launches the sync 1st

Backup restore would I guess destroy the target.

Any other ideas ? I thought Syncing TB and Voyager should make both message bases the same in TB and Voyager

I guess syncing presumes some similarity before first sync.

However, export the folders you want to 'share' to unix mailbox
(Sel ect the folder and then: Tools -> Export messages to -> UNIX Mailbox -> pick some name and path)
And import the exported messages into Voyager.
(Tools -> import messages -> from unix mailbox)
Take note that you can only import/export one folder at a time and the folder you've selected in TB (or Voyager) is the source for export or the target for import.

Roelof,

Thanks, I had hoped to be able to export and import a whole list of email folders, rather than one by one, hence the sync..

Hey ho, maybe one folder at a time it is then..

Roelof,

Edit.. managed to do it faffing around with selections.. :D

I tried doing a TB backup of just one folder and it's sub folders and restoring to my "Live" version of TB
Even thoug I just pick the folder I want from my resulting backup it overwrites my whole message store.
What a pain..
