how to get 'official' support?

what would be the right way to get official support?
I got my new version of the bat 4.2 and there is no way I can make the sync work between my laptop and my home pc.

I have this question open on the forum for a couple weeks now with no good results. :(

no good results because there's no good way :)

If you don't use theBat on both PC's simultaneously, just copy the mail folder fr om one(wh ere you last used theBat) to the other. A dedicated sync tool will speed up this by copying only files that are newer, if both PC's are connected.

Another way is to switch to IMAP.

I myself use home made imap-like scheme, it's described somewhere here. This was discussed several times before, search the forum and you may find other ways.

Thank you bigg one, but that is now an option for me.
actually I read your post about IMAP when looking for a solution for this issue.

the previous version had a very strong easy to use sync tool and I'm not understanding why this "downgrading" on this version.

I have to use POP and my notebook is not in sync with my home computer. I only have there the e-mails I receive when I'm out of home/office.

any one have a similar issue? Or I was the only one who was using the Sync feature before?

It's not a problem to have incoming mail synced, just set theBat to keep messages on server for say 10 days or the duration of your longest trip - then you can have it on both PC's.

It's harder for outgoing, but there are various possible solutions. One could be to use /IMPORT & /EXPORT command line switches.
Another could be to make a temp folder in theBat. Copy there all the outgoing messages you want to move to the other PC(this can be automated with a manually triggered date based filter I guess). Then in Windows Explorer find the physical folder corresponding to the temp folder in theBat, and copy MESSAGES.TBB file to a USB stick. On the other PC put that file at the same place (physical temp folder) and you'll see emails in theBat. They can be then sorted with outgoing filters.

The way I do it seems the best for me (indeed :)) because once set, you don't have to do anything - PC's are always synced.

Bigg one,
again I agree and I would say your method will work.
But it's not practical...
If The Bat! never had a Sync feature on it I would say: "Whuau... great idea... let do it". but it had.
and was removed.
It's not nice from Ritlabs to do that. And to make things worst, I can't rollback to the previous version w/0 a lot of pain (or opening my December backup and losing January e-mails).

So, I'm back to the original question: how to get official support on TheBat!?
