Help -First Time Setting up "Can't connect to the server"

I just set up the bat, at least I thought I did.
I am trying to manage a few different gmail accounts I have and I believe I have all of the POP/SMTP settings correct and every time I go to download new messages it says that it can't connect to server.  I've changed settings, triple checked passwords/usernames, made sure that POP was enabled from gmail and still nothing.

Any help any advice would be great.

These are my settings for gmail and they're doing fine:

Send mail:
smtp server: smtp.gmail.com
Connection: Secure to regular port (STARTTLS)
Port: 587
Authentication
check Perform smtp authentication
check Same user/password as for Mail Retrieval
uncheck everything else

Receive mail:
mail server: pop.gmail.com
user/password: use your own settings
Connection: Secure to dedicated port (TLS)
Port: 995
Authentication
Regular
uncheck everything else

Server timeout is 60 seconds and delivery type is immediate, but they shouldn't matter.

thank you!!!!!!! after all of that in my mail server
it said pop3  not pop, changed that and the emails came.
I must say that i never changed it to that, that must be the default setting for gmail accounts.

I'm looking for some help from an expert in getting set up. I really dont need to do anything complicated at the moment, I cant even get it set up.  I will pay for the support!! We could use teamviewer or something of the like.
