TLS not working - SessionUnknownContentType ct (50), SessionUnknownContentType ct (50) TLS

My provider supports TLS, but I can't get it to work with TB.
The account logs says :

vr 05 nov 2010, 12:44:07: SEND  - sending mail message(s) - 1 message(s) in queue
vr 05 nov 2010, 12:44:07: SEND  - Initiating TLS handshake
!vr 05 nov 2010, 12:44:07: SEND  - TLS protocol error: Unexpected message SessionUnknownContentType ct (50).
vr 05 nov 2010, 12:44:07: SEND  - connection finished - 0 message(s) sent
vr 05 nov 2010, 12:44:07: SEND  - Some messages were not sent - check the log for details

Unfortunatly, the 'real' SMTP-log remains empty. (It is not totally empty,
but it seems only to log successfull (non-TLS) sendings).

What can I do to fix this problem ?

(I'm using 4.2.36.4 - Professional Edition).

Come on guys, (from Ritlabs), why don't I get a decent answer ?

You've implemented the TLS-functionality, so I think you must
have a good idea about the cause of this error.

I like The Bat a lot, but it annoys me quite a bit that so many questions
in this forum about serious issues are just left un-answered.
It creates the feeling that RittLab doesn't care very much for its customers. :(

Has your provider a web page with the proper settings and what are your settings?

My provider has provided the following information :

Code
Receiving server : pop.vevida.com
Username : your mail-adres
Password : your password
Port : 110
SSL or TLS : off
Sending server : smtp.vevida.com
Port : 587 (or 25 if your provider does not block this port).
SSL or TLS : activated.
Use same username and password as for receiving.

In The Bat i've tried ALL possible combinations,
like for instance :

'connection: secure to Regular port (STARTTLS)', 'connection: secure to dedicated port(TLS)',
both with port 587 as well with as port 25, then all this combinations combined with all possible
options under tab 'Mail Transmission (SMTP) Authentication', but whatever the settings,
the outcome is always :
'TLS protocol error: Unexpected message SessionUnknownContentType ct (50)'.

You wouldn't have 'require secure authentication' enabled, would you? (Can be found at smtp authentication)

Thanks Roelof,

I unchecked 'require secure authentication' and in combination
with 'Secure to regular port (STARTTLS)' on port 25,
it's working now.  :)

This must be the one combination that I missed
when I was trying.
