Sorting by date/time received, Need to "View emails by sender" and sort by received

Hi,
Just upgraded to V5.08. I have always viewed my emails by sender and sorted by date/time received, now in V5.08 The Bat insists on sorting by sender and then by date received within the sender's emails. I have looked at the view configuration screens and have made a new view all to no avail. :cry:

When you've created a new view mode, you need to assign that to the folder.

Thank you for your response Roelof - I am assigning the profile to the folder plus it all worked before I upgraded.

Well the only thing I can say is that it works for me, your view mode wouldn't have enabled something like 'thread by sender', would you? Because that could cause this.
It's odd that it should change with the upgrade, but I can't compare that with my own upgrade as that was a bit atypical (alpha and beta testing)

Thanks. If all else fails I'll re-install, guess I was hoping it was a known problem with a magic fix.

Definitely a "feature" - using View - View Threads By - Sender will only sort on the sender. I have uninstalled and reinstalled V5.08 and get the same results. In prior versions the default sort would preside.
