Auto wrap not working on reply-to messages - only NEW messages

Testing version 4.2.42 with plans to buy it once I see it is not buggy..

Under global options -> preferences -> viewer/editor -> editor preferences I have Auto-wrap enabled. I also un-check auto-formatting.

When I create a NEW message the sentances auto-wrap after 70 characters. When I REPLY to an email, the auto-wrap icon is enabled, but the sentances do not auto wrap and carry on well past 70 and wrap only once the text hits the edge of the window.

Is this a bug, is what can you suggest here?

I can't reproduce that behaviour. What editor are you using?
(MicroEd, Windows text, HTML only, HTML and text)
I've tried it with both plain text editors and they 'wrap' at the set line length.

I get the same behavior when replying to an HTML message that has a wide table or graphic. It will not wrap until it hits the edge of the widest graphic or table.

I mentioned it once on the beta list but no one responded. It is an irritant at most, since the message will wrap correctly when sent.

The improvements are coming so fast that it will NEVER be "not buggy" totally.  :D

I am also experiencing this issue. Quoted text is not automatically wrapping to the width of the editor window.

In the main Preferences, I have "HTML with alternative plain text part" as the default editor for messages.

I have not changed any settings and this issue first appeared after upgrading to version 5 (v.508)

I will monitor this topic for updates.

Keep up the good work! Regards,

Is there any news about this issue?

It is an irritant at most,

Unfortunately, I don't agree. Having to expand the editor window greatly in order to see the text below, not to mention the text of the e-mail that is being composed is a major inconvenience.
