Virtual Folder not Recognizing TAGS, Virtual Folder not Recognizing TAGS

I read a post yesterday that got me thinking I could benefit from tags instead of marking messages as unread.

Today I embarked on this super simple task, with failure :(

I have created a Virtual Folder called "Needs Reply".
I have created a Tag called "Needs Reply" and colored it RED.
I chose a message I need to reply to and I TAGged it as Needs Reply.
I added the TAGS column to the message list and have confirmed the message is tagged.

In my virtual folder, I have this setup for filtering:

Advanced Filtering Checked
Auto Refresh
Store state between sessions
Any Message *
AND Tags match any of Needs Reply

And the Needs Reply Virtual Folder does not populate.



For testing, I created a new TAB below the message list with the same Advanced Filter criteria and it works perfectly.

Any suggestions?

Today TB! have new release, 9.3.1. Try to install it and check again.

After installing 9.3.1 the tagged messages showed up in the Virtual Folder.

However, when I tag additional messages, they do not show up in the virtual folder.

So it worked one time after upgrading.

It looks like you have some individual bug. Contact support and ask what file you're need to delete for reset current work of tags or work of virtual folder.

I found the issue. When nearing the end of the wizard for creating a Virtual Folder, it pops up a window asking you to select folders.

The window is populated with all of your accounts in a non-expanded way.

If you click your account, and save, it will not work because clicking the unexpanded account does not select any folders.

When this Select Folder windows opens, it should either:

1) Expand the current account you are working with so when you select a check box, it is immediately apparent that you did not select any other folders.

or (and I like this best)

2) If you place a check mark in an un-expanded account, the default should be to check all folder in that account. (Like doing a CTRL-Click). Same goes for sub folders, if UN-expanded, the default should be to select all subfolders.

I wasn't know that you don't know this :) This is default behavior of selecting folders.
Glad, that you set folder as you need it.
