Author: Tristano Ajmone. There is one feature I'm really missing in The Bat! — ie, the possibility of using macros to run an external process that returns some text to be inserted into the email contents.
With my previous client (Outlook Express, on XP) I would use that feature to include in my email template some random generated contents, using various apps....

I was thinking of the standard 2-letters language (eg: "EN", "ES", "DE", etc.).
This field should be accessible via macros, and it could be used for conditional operations in Templates. It could tie-in nicely with email enconding and spell checker. Maybe it should also allow multiple languages per contact -- beside the default one. This would allow to implement checks ...
... to work- if I specify a line containing "%MEMO", I wind up with a blank line in the output file, even though there is text in the memo for that message.
Has this feature been removed? Am I misunderstanding how to do this? I can get other macros to write out successfully.
