Postbox is trying to replace Thunderbird position, why not The Bat?

I noticed Postbox has applied a discount to its software to attract Thunderbird users.
Ritlabs, it's a good opportunity, don't lose it. You can have similar strategy ( discount on your software purchase and upgrade ) to attract Thunderbird huge users!

Had a look myself, looks quite simple and basic.. IMHO Nowhere near as feature rich as The Bat!

The Thunderbird is a free offering - folks using it wont be too excited to shell out dough for a shareware like Postbox (or any other email client.)  :)

Battie,

I'm with you there. Unless they want all the features The Bat! offers..
And IMHO Thunderbird is a much nicer client that Postbox anyway.

Even so, they ( current Thunderbird users ) could be encouraged by knowing full features of TheBat + a drop (discount) of the price.

That encouragement for Users of Thunderbird was always present with / without support from Mozilla.

As far as the discount part is concerned, I wouldn't decline RitLabs if they offered one (but, I wont be banking on them doing it just because Mozilla decided to halt Thunderbird - there are many more freewares available.)
