B/ items, user-defined fields in address book

What are the B/ items in the address book? E.g., B/Address, B/City, B/Country, B/Fax, etc.

Also, is there any way to create user-defined fields in the address book?

And while I'm asking ... What are the Certum CA Directory and the Netcenter Member Directory?

Thanks!

/b as a field name when importing is for Business
As far as I know, there is no way to create user defined fields in the address book

That being said you CAN customize the menues and tool bars and even add toolbars, but I wouldn't start there - get used to the address book a bit first  ;)

Perhaps someone else can help with the certificate directories - I do not have those

One last thing - this is a user to user forum and ritlabs doesn't monitor it. There are some real EXPERTS in here that can help you with many issues and eplanations that you might need. There are also a couple of good mailing lists where you can ask for help and ask noob questions (we ALL do that - I find out something new that the bat will do at least once a week) :D

Thank you, Rick. I guess I don't yet understand the distinction about importing for business, what that might mean, when one might need to make such a distinction.

Can you suggest one or two of those noob mailing lists, please? :)

The idea for a business section in the address book is that you can use business and private address info for any given contact and with TB's macros it's even possuble to place them automatically in your messages.

It isn't possible to create your own fields, but the memo field of the address book has a free format. I knew someone who used the memo field to place some additional fields and due to his proper formatting of those fields he was able to extract those fields to his messages with regular expressions. But I would need to search in my archives to find who it was an d how he did that.
