How to remove floating box

How to remove floating box, Box appears above messages

The box is a simple box. It can't be moved. If I type something into it and press enter, a tab named Filter: appears. I can't find any way to disable, or even move, it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get rid of it? using 4.2.44.2
