Get New Email for All - while not on an email account folder?, No way to check email unless account folder highlighted

Hi, I have been trying to find this in the Help but no luck so far. It seems that one cannot initiate email check unless the cursor is on an account folder. What I am hoping to do is be able to check all email via one click no mater what part of The Bat! is highlighted.. e.g. if my cursor is on a virtual folder where I see all my incoming emails. Is this possible? - thanks
