Should I finally upgrade to V5.* from the last V4 version??

I have used V4.2.44.2 for years and years. I had no obvious cause to upgrade as I never use anything other than SMTP and POP3. One thing REALLY bugs me with V4 though. The well documented Folder Views and Column Sizing flakyness. I don't believe this was ever really sorted in any V4.* version, was it? Does it work flawlessly in any V5.* version? That alone would make me upgrade. Does backup and restore work any differently (more robustly) in V5.* versions?  If I upgrade to a V5.* version and don't like it, can I return to V4.2.44.2 with no issues? Thanks.

There was a database change in there somewhere and I am not sure of the version. If you move to the current v5 your data will be converted and you can't go back
Also there is a license update through v7 instead of v6 but I am not sure if is in effect yet. I hope someone else with the correct information can step in here. I have it in my brain that it will change on Oct 18 but I could be VERY wrong
Version 6 in in Alpha and you could move to that when it is stable and then try the first release of 7 when they get that far
