Deleting messages from Inbox over IMAP doesn't update from all devices, When using IMAP in The Bat!, and iPad, and iPhone, deleting messages from Inbox on The Bat! doesn't delete them from iPad and iPhone
 
Hi,

I have an MS Exchange account I access using IMAP from The Bat! 5.2, an iPhone, and an iPad. When I delete a new email from Inbox in The Bat!, the iPhone and iPad don't show it deleted. But if I delete it on the iPad or iPhone first, it disappears from The Bat!

Any ideas how to diagnose and fix this? This used to happen in The Bat! 4.x so I upgraded to 5.2 over a year ago but it's still happening.

Are there some IMAP settings I'm missing? Please point me in the right direction (away from using Outlook).

I've got no experience with an exchange server, but when I delete a message on a regular imap server, my webmail confirms that it's deleted.
Are you sure that your phone and tablet refresh their cache?

Thanks for your reply. The phone and tablets are refreshing properly - when I check Webmail, the messages deleted in The Bat are still in the Inbox on the server. I think this is a configuration issue. I'm opening a different ticket...
 
Did you ever resolve this issue?

I am having he same problem. Messages are deleted in TheBat!, but still present on the IMAP server (although marked as "deleted").
 
Are you folks running the maintenance center to remove the deleteds from your database? If so then the issue could well be on the exchange server
