Inbox frustration

I have set up a very simple system of filters to move Family topics to a family folder and change their colour. I have currently set up 4 such filters. The folders are listed in their proper place under my email address. The problem is that every time I open the program there is another Inbox shown below the list with those folders in it aswell. They stay empty. I have deleted them, and even gone into the root and deleted them but every time I open the client they appear again. What am I doing wrong?

Could you elaborate a bit?
Are you talking about an imap account or pop3, in case of imap are you using a remote inbox or local?
Is the second inbox located in the same account as the first inbox?
The regular inbox has a special symbol (a folderr with a downwards arrow), has the extra inbox the same icon?

Its a pop3 account.

It looks like the ghost inbox is a common folder. But there are also copies of the sent mail, trash and outbox. They're not supposed to be there either.
I suggest this: Close TB, switch to your mail directory with the explorer and rename the account.flb file to account.flb.old
After that you can start TB again and see whether the problem persists.
If you don't know where to locate your mal directory, you can find the exact location in TB via the menu:
Options -> Preferences -> System -> Mail directory

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried doing as you said. I also tried deleting the folders, closing, renaming account.flb but every time I reopen the folders come back.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thank you again!
