Incoming mail marked as "deleted"

Incoming mail marked as "deleted", Where do we change a setting to stop marking these as "deleted"?

n0ukf Advanced User Posts: 63 Points: 56 Rating: 2 Authority: 2 Joined: 11 January 2008	#1 0 15 January 2016 09:09:07 Mom has a gmail account and Dad pointed out to me that mails she sends him (received in TheBat!) get marked as "deleted" (have to use Folder/Browse Deleted Messages to see them). I tried finding any setting in TheBat! to stop this action but can't find anything relevant to fix this. What is happening? Where do we fix this? TheBat! v5

n0ukf Advanced User Posts: 63 Points: 56 Rating: 2 Authority: 2 Joined: 11 January 2008	#2 0 16 January 2016 18:21:32 I just noticed in mine that mails moved to another folder are showing up in the inbox as deleted while shown normal in the other folder but Dad doesn't have another folder that these deleted mails from Mom were sent to. They're just deleted and we don't know why.

That was the first time I've ever noticed losing a mail upon replying.

Right-click on the account name, pick Sorting Office and see if any filters are active that may be deleting incoming messages. I volunteer as a moderator to help keep the forum tidy. All filters in the sorting office are to move mails to other folders (for Dad this is just one mailing list folder and there is nothing about her mail that would catch it to move it to that folder).
