Upgrades

I have TheBat! Pro V6.0 x86 currently.  I am building a new PC with W10 64bit and will upgrade TheBat! to V8.x Home.

1. Does the upgrade price valid from V6.0 x86 to V8.x 64bit?

2. How can I move the (1) settings, (2) folder structure, (3) filters, (4) etc., from 6.0 to 8?

Robert,
Several users have found a utility I assembled useful from http://davidkirk.org/thebat/   It gives explicit tips on moving TB! to a new computer. The registry tool that saves the REG file should also work. It's pretty straightforward. And I believe the upgrade price is the same, regardless of version number. Good luck

Your program sounds great but extracting it gives error "unspecified error"  code 0x80004005. Also appears to be password protected which is maybe why the error? I tried to extract to various drives all with same results.

I used thebat for decades until 2016 had to move to Outlook.  But I have over 1000 saved messages going back decades I would like to have excess to moving to new Win10 Pro computer.  The old is also Win10

I have version 6.7.7.0 - is there someplace to download old version instead of updating to newer since only need it to read old mail messages.

Will try to move via PC Mover (have hundreds of programs trying to move) don't know if will work on thebat.   Your program might be the answer but can not read the readme or run the .exe due to with the code above.

Thanks

Update - I found an archive of earlier versions but I have "Professional" 6.7.7.0 (Christmas edition) - used thebat since pre-2005.  In the prior version page there are no more "professional" ediitions later than mine just theBat up to 6.8.8 32 or 64 bit.  If I install this non-"Professiona" edition wonder if will work on new computer.  Of course, use old mail folder etc.  Old says license valid until 6.9 so that part is OK.

Old is 32bit so do I need 32bit or use 64 if the 6.8.8 will work on new computer.  Will use just to read archived old messages saved not using as a current e-mail client - but loved for over a decade.

Yes, there is a password for my utility, but it is displayed on the website: http://davidkirk.org/thebat/    The old TB! version should work, as TB! has always advertised that it's compatible from XP uip, but if you upgrade, I recommend the 64-bit version. Good luck.
