If you don't have too many domains of interest that you want to do this with, it's a convenient solution. However if you do have too many, there's another easy solution: Go to Workspace | Toolbars and turn Quick Search on. Whenever I want to see all messages from a certain company (domain), I simply type the name in the Quick Search box and press Enter. This removes all non-matching messages from the list (until I click on the 'All' tab below the list).
As to your question about regular filters: When you use the Create Filter dialog and you're asked to browse to the target folder, there's a "New" button there. So, no need to make the new directory in advance. When you work from the Sorting Office, you can enter a folder name and tag the 'create if necessary' option (or words to that effect). |
Thanks, I plan to go over all this shortly.
The Quick Search sounds good, I will be trying it out.
And creating folders on the fly sounds good, thanks.
And I see the tabs under the message list, they start now with "ALL and INFORMATION"
When you set up a new Tab, under Filter - Use Quick Filtering -
Use Advanced Filtering
.. the advanced filtering I think that is what you mean .. neat. .. that is really pretty powerful, configurable, sensible stuff!
Let me ask one questions -
==================
In Create Filter - "for more options, hit the edit button.."
Edit has never done anything, it just drops away. What is it looking for to bring up more options?
==================
Thanks!
