Voyager - Ticker is never shown?

Hi,

I'm using v8.6.0.4 of Voyager on an IMAP account.

Voyager is minimized to the system tray icon area.
When I right click its icon, the "Show ticker..." entry
shows that "Automatically" is chosen.

But whenever a new mail arrives, I only see the animated tray icon
but no ticker... Please note: I only want to see it on new mails, NOT always!

Do I need to configure anything else to be able to use it?

I volunteer as a moderator to help keep the forum tidy. I do not work for Ritlabs SRL.
