Unable to send emails with The Bat

Hello,

I'm using The Bat again after a rather long break, but I'm unable to send emails for now.

I've configured SMTP authentication using the reception parameters (but I've checked providing my login and password and the problem is the same)

But when I try to send emails, I have this message in the Bat log file :

!04/03/2019, 07:06:58: SEND  - Le message n'a pas été envoyé. Le serveur a répondu "4.7.1 <CHIOT.lan>: Helo command rejected: Host not found"

"CHIOT.lan" is the local DNS name of my computer.

When I check the postfix log file, I can see this :

Mar  4 06:06:56 ns323750 postfix/smtpd[11498]: Anonymous TLS connection established from <mypublicipaddress>: TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-SHA256 (128/128 bits)
Mar  4 06:06:57 ns323750 postfix/smtpd[11498]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from <mypublicipaddress>: 450 4.7.1 <CHIOT.lan>: Helo command rejected: Host not found; from=<myselfhostedemailaddress> to=<anotheremailaddressImusing> proto=ESMTP helo=<CHIOT.lan>
Mar  4 06:06:57 ns323750 postfix/smtpd[11498]: disconnect from <mypublicaddress> ehlo=2 starttls=1 mail=1 rcpt=0/1 rset=2 quit=1 commands=7/8

One line is missing : the authentication one !

When I'm sending mail using Outlook on the very same computer :

Mar  4 05:50:13 ns323750 postfix/submission/smtpd[3061]: 90BB0DFAD2: client=<mypublicipaddress>, sasl_method=LOGIN, sasl_username=<myusername>

What am I missing ?

Thanks for your help :-)

Ok it seems that I found where the problem was (and it was on my postfix configuration it seems) : as long as I selected the 25 port for SMTP on The Bat, I was unable to send emails. Now, I've manually selected the 587 port and everything is fine.

Glad to hear that you found the solution!
