Connection to host broken (last commands sent were: "RETR 9995", "RETR 9996"),

Hi,

I am running TheBat! 7.4.2 on Windows 10 on a Verizon.net account that is now hosted at AOL.
It had been working seamlessly for a good while.
Two other Verizon-AOL accounts, smaller, seem to be ok, maybe.
Any idea what would be:

Since my puter that does the email has 300k mail from that box, I am thinking of simply starting with an empty new install on my newer puter.  I do tend to do that every few years anyway.  On Eudora I keep both icons, the current and the archive files, active, just pointing to a different target data folder.  I may try to do something like that with TheBat!. Make sense? (I would probably upgrade to 9.2 also.)

Your help and thoughts and ideas appreciated!

Thanks!

Steven

Before I get that message I get a few minutes of:

Status:  Deleting message #nnnn

================================

The deleting message numbers are getting higher, around 5,000, then start lower.
Although the total numbers do not really go down.

Maybe it is choking on trying to delete already downloaded messages.
Maybe I will hand delete old messages that are in the AOL mailbox.

================================

PROBABLY BEST SOLUTION:

Leave AOL servers
