getting error msg and can't download emails

Hi, I am getting the following error message and I cannot download any emails

Connction to Host broken (last commands were "DELE 114", "RETR 507")

I'm not sure what to make of that. Did you change anything in your account configuration and if not, did your provider change anything? Do they offer a webmail interface where you could check for any notifications? Or for the presence of a corrupt message that may somehow be stuck?

When you go to Account | View Log, you can see the full log file, which may be more informative. Maybe you can copy the entries for the last attempt (the last 10-15 lines probably) and paste them here (but do remove any private information that may be in it).

Hi, someone else uses the same email account and they have been able to work fine, so I think its a problem with TheBat

28/09/2020, 15:08:00: FETCH - receiving mail messages
28/09/2020, 15:08:00: FETCH - Connecting to POP3 server mail.xxx.com on port 110

28/09/2020, 15:08:00: FETCH - 613 messages in the mailbox, 107 new
!28/09/2020, 15:08:06: FETCH - Connection to host broken (last commands sent were: "DELE 114", "RETR 507")

It could help if you answer my earlier questions.

Also, is this a provider like Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, etc?
Do you use IMAP or POP3?  Does the other person use the same?
Are you using exactly the same login settings as this other user?

Did it use to work (before you got this error message), or has it never worked?

its a work account, several other people have access to the email and they have encountered no problems. We all use POP 3. ALl our settings are the same. It was working fine up until Sunday afternoon and after that no emails were received. I have been using TheBat for the last 12 years and this is the first marjor problem I have had with it

Either on your end or on that of the provider something must have changed, or it would still work. Did you install or update any antivirus/firewall/security software that day? It looks like you can log into the mailserver, but then after a few seconds the connection is mysteriously dropped.
