How do I condense the vertical space in Folders and Messages view?, Also, prevent minimize to tray when switching windows?

I finally upgraded from 6.8.8 to 9.3.1.  Looks and feels great, and there are two things I have a question about:

1. There seems to be more vertical space between folders and messages in their respective lists.  Is there a way to condense that space as it was in 6.8.8?

2. When I have TB open, and Alt+Tab to another window, I can't Alt+Tab back to TB because it's been minimized to the tray. Is there a setting to prevent this from happening?

Is this checkbox "unchecked"? https://content.screencast.com/users/george2534/folders/Snagit/media/062d8565-4ed4-4bed-8268-fd29c0c7a739/12.17.2020-00.47.png

Thanks again, George!  Both problems solved.  In the first screencast, the option I needed was "Use denser display of items for folder and message lists". You highlighted the option just above it. But you did point me in the right direction so it's all good! :)

haha, yes.  I thought I did that, now I have for sure.  8-)

Hi Everyone.
I had the same question, but I found this topic. Good. Thank you George for the answer.

Nevertheless, while for the folder tree that option works very good, it is not the same for the message list view.
In this respect I have attached 2 screenshots.

screenshot1

This first one represents the folder tree as it appears on version 9.1.8 (on the left) and on version 9.3.2 (with and without that "denser" option enabled).
As you can see, checking that box, everything come back to the same "density" of the presious version.

BUT.
I attach now a second screenshot.

screenshot2

As you can see, the "denser" box checking improves a little bit the "density" but I cannot achieve the same number of emails showed in previous version of The Bat!, having granted the same screen portion.
(bear in mind that the type of the font and the dimension of characters have been kept fixed).

I am not upgrading from 9.1.8 version thanks to this issue.
For professional reasons I have to navigate among tons of email and it is crucial to have a vision of the most high number of email in one shot of the screen.
I would like to install and work with the latest version of The Bat!, but it is very important to solve that.

In the next version of The Bat!,
-> Is it possible to restore the same density also for the message list?
-> It could be even possible to add a setting to precisely set up the "density parameter", so to adjust that parameter to every user need?

I await your kind reply.

Hi Gianluigi , thanks for your clear and concise presentation of the problem. However, the only ones who could fix this are Ritlabs' developers, who do not visit this forum often. You may want to use the 'Support' option (in the menu above) to contact them.
I volunteer as a moderator to help keep the forum tidy. I do not work for Ritlabs SRL.

Thanks to everyone in this particular topic - it made my setup much easier to use - more like it used to be and for that i thank you. Little by little I am hoping to get back to what we had as far as appearance goes.
