Gmail stars, Different stars all show the same in The Bat!

As most people know, Gmail has the ability to add different colored stars to emails.  There are about 5 different colors, and then special ones such as exclamation points, question marks, check marks, etc.  The problem is that when adding different colored stars to different emails on Gmail, they only show up as a single generic Flag in The Bat!

Is it that the IMAP server on Google's end does not provide specific-enough information for The Bat! to differentiate between the different colors?  Or some other reason?  Any hope for a fix?

I don't have the answer, but like Microsoft before it, Google does many things that are different from the established internet standards for email. Other companies may or may not ignore those idiosyncrasies.

Did you try color groups in TB? - this feature more great than stars, but you can't sync both features. Stars is google feature, color groups is Ritlabs feature.

On the other side, when you send a new  mail using The Bat and you choose the red icon "high priority", nothing happen if you receive it on gmail.

Is it normal? What is the utility of the "high priority" color if nobody can see it?

There is a way that an "high priority" message sent by The Bat would appear differently when received on gmail?

Thanks

The "Priority" header field is part of the official internet email standards. If Google doesn't support it, I think the onus is on them to explain why not.
