I've also tried disabling antivirus and all background programs and running The Bat as administrator, with the same result: The Bat crashes within 2 seconds of opening the internal browser window.
It does sound like a low-level conflict is causing the browser to crash. I would try rebooting Windows in Safe Mode and then trying again.

Thanks for your suggestion, I have followed it and restarted Windows in safe mode, but the program keeps crashing. I also changed the system browser to Edge and tried both versions of The Bath (32 and 64 bit) with the same result. Good! You seem to have tried everything that you could do on your end, so I hope that Ritlabs' people will have a solution for you. Please keep us posted.

The problem has been solved and the ticket closed. Ritlabs has released the new version 10.0.4 that fixes the bug, and now it works correctly.

The owners of older versions (v8 and earlier) will not be able to connect to Gmail anymore. To continue using Gmail accounts in The Bat!, you would need to update the program to the latest version.
Hi, now I can receive mail but I can't send it, I get the following error:

A pop-up asks me for this account's password when this happens but entering the pass doesn't solve the issue.
Hi. Where can I paste auth code from google? I've code from system browser (copy url from TheBat window). In The Bat I only have window login to google account, without button "Open in system browser" or "Authorization code". TheBat v9.1.18
Hi all, I have gone through this thread and many others, also the Ritlabs suggestion above to get my Gmail account to connect with no luck.
I have Windows 11, the Bat v 10.00.10, I also configured my first Gmail account no problems but when I tried to create the second Gmail account I past in the authentication code press OK and just go round in circles, the whole authentication process starts all over. All was working ok till i got a BSOD Critical process died after a windows update reboot. Eventually had to start from scratch installing windows etc again.
I also checked to make sure that both accounts were setup the same directly in browser and also in the bat, I even tried removing access to the bat from the problem account and going through the process again to no avail, checking in Gmail after doing it once in my Gmail settings in the browser says that the bat has permission again. Next step I tried restoring a Bat backup but it just started the authentication circle again.
No idea what else to try Cheers Derek
Edit Without touching anything, Today I had 3 new emails in the problem account and I can send emails so I tried to send a mail from another account and could not receive it, very strange.
I haven't changed anything, and I can read all emails from my phone. But all of a sudden yesterday, it stopped working in The Bat.
What I did about the time it stopped working was to close The Bat and put the computer in sleep mode before travelling. Nothing strange showed up. But after waking the computer and starting The Bat again, that, I only get this:
!2022-06-08, 08:52:12: FETCH - Server reports error. The response is: -ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.
I changed the receive mail authentication to OAUTH (using Web browser) - was Regular then followed the instructions given when I did receive mail for that account. In the browser, you can copy a authorisation code back into TheBat!

Thanks a million, that solved it for me too!
I didn't see your message at first, although I refreshed the browser several times. But now I did.
I have TheBat 10.0.10 up to date as of today. I started having this same problem with my three gmail addresses not fetching into TheBat, since sometime in June 2022. Not able to fetch email. It seems that Gmail keeps being suspicious about TheBat I have dealt with this problem every now and then over the years. But TheBat is the email program that works for me.
I did change the authentication setting through the properties of the gmail accounts in TheBat. the procedure took me to chrome where they give me a code to place in TheBat (If I trusted TheBat). I did it and I could get my email.
But I have some questions...
For how long will this work? Should we all use this method of changing Properties-Recieve mail-authentication-OAUTH (using web browser) for all our gmail addresses from now on?
I would appreciate a comment on this from Ritlabs and the TheBat team or from anybody who knows.
