theBat! Pro address book

I have two installs of theBat! Pro. My address book has lost its entries on my desktop.. The laptop still has the entries in the address book. Can I copy files from the laptop to the desktop to restore the address book data on the desktop? If so what files? Thanks

Doug

When you open your empty address book, there's a function "File | Import From" that lets you import data from another The Bat address book (extension .abd).

Maybe you can overwrite your address book file when TB is not running, but I'm not sure if that couldn't have any unintended consequences. If one is available, using a recent backup from the original AB (from before its contents were lost), might be safer.

Thanks that set me in the proper direction. I exported the address book fom the working laptop as a .ldif file. Emailed it to the desktop and imported it into theBat. Everything is working again.

Is anyone else having issues with the new address book format? It toasted my 15 groups and it was all but impossible to do anything with it
I ended up reinstalling v9, setting up my groups which now showed correctly in v10
