Version 10 is separate from 9.x, how do I deal with that?

After updating to version 10.0.1, when I clicked the shortcut on my taskbar it opened 9.5.1.

I checked the Start menu, and I noticed there are now two items there.  A single shortcut icon for 9.5.1, and a folder for 10.0.1 containing the new version.

There are also two entries in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features (uninstall window), one for 9.5.1 and one for 10.0.1.

Can I safely uninstall 9.5.1 or are all the email and settings bound to 10.0.1?

If I were you I'd create a ticket for this in the support system (see menu above). Please mention your Windows version. They may also need to know if you installed the new version from the same user account (in Windows) as the earlier version.
