Manually Sorting Folders, I want to move my most used folders to the top of the tree

Hi,

Are there only three forums? I'm not sure where to post this question.

How do I move a folder to a different position in the tree? I found an old message saying to hold down Ctrl and Alt and drag the folder, but that doesn't seem to work.

Thanks!

Does Ctrl+Shift+Arrow work? It does in my v8.x, but I'm not sure about versions 9 and 10.

Works in v10.1. Also, folders can be moved by holding Alt and dragging with the mouse.

shift+ctrl+arrow works for me here in 10.1, and of course you can use the right-click pop-up context menu.

But I have seen a glitch where a folder could be raised up the list only so far then stuck. IIRC it worked properly next time I started TB!.

I once had a glitch where a couple of folders got lost after moving in and out of other folders. They weren't permanently lost though (just didn't register in the tree, the data in the file system was intact), and were easy to put back in the tree (right click -> Find Lost Folders).

Someone else reported this too a couple of months ago: https://www.ritlabs.com/en/auth-forums/forum4/topic15588/
