Postpone, RandomNumber > Can the RandomNumber Start in the Future?, Prepare a 100 piece mass mailing on Friday to go out on Monday over a period of 3 hours?

The post linked below was very helpful to provide %postpone %randomnumber(X)m functions.

https://www.ritlabs.com/en/forums/forum4/topic15630/

It introduced me to the very helpful %randomnumber function for mass mailing.

My observation is that using %randomnumber is a timed sending feature for which the start time is only now.

Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a mass mailing which uses %randomnumber but does not start until a certain named date and time?

Thank you all.

TheBat have mass mailing feature, but this feature for sending mail to friends about party, not about real mass mailing. You do need to use programs like that: https://www.bspdev.ru/

TB is not made for tens of thousands of emails, but it is very good for smaller size mass mailing.

However, its capacity was not my question.

How do you initiate a mailing? If you're simply writing a message and sending that to an Address Book group, you can schedule the message using the little clock icon in the status bar underneath.

Hello @Daniel van Rooijen.

I want to create a mass mailing of 100 email addresses. I want to create the email on Friday and postpone it to send on Monday morning.

I don't want all 100 to be emailed out in the same minute as the postpone, rather I would like the 100 emails to email out over a 60 minute period of time.

%RandomNumber allows this but the start time of that command is now.

My question asks is there a way to combine both %postpone and RandomNumber?

Thank you.

No. Your question was "Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a mass mailing which uses %randomnumber but does not start until a certain named date and time?"

And my answer remains that you may be able to simply schedule your message (with the random delay specified within it) to get The Bat to do what you desire. It might be worth a try.

Hello @Daniel van Rooijen

Can you show how that would be written?
