messages cannot be deleted, a problem with incoming messages

Hi,
Sometimes I have a problem with incoming messages. (I don't know what it depends on) Messages that I have read or deleted after refreshing the folder again are visible (undeleted) and unread.

Try Folder -> Maintenance Center (Check integrity/repair, Purge old/exceeding messages).

Be sure to back up your message base first.

Having a similar problem. Maintenance Center purge did not solve it.

This can't be that difficult to configure. There must be some way to tell the server that a message has been read so that it won't keep appearing as unread.

If it's just a single message that keeps popping up, I'd suspect a server-side problem. Have you tried marking it 'read' online, using your provider's webmail interface?

ps: I assume that you are both using IMAP, but for POP3 accounts, you can also try the 'Account > Dispatch Mail on Server' feature to read or delete stuck messages.
