Error action black window

After pressing the delete key, the window of the list of received messages has remained black.

The messages are, since I see them in the lower window.

How can I reverse the action I have done?

Configuration files are INI files?

That's weird! I don't think I've ever heard of this problem and I have no idea what may have happened there.

The relevant settings are probably stored in tbuser.def (or else in config.cdb) in your mail folder. If you have a recent backup of that file, maybe you could try restoring it. But I'd start simply by rebooting the PC and launching The Bat again to see if the problem is persistent.
