Import email from Tutanota, When I import the EML files, they display no Subject or Sender

I use Tutanota only for a few things, but I want to import its emails into The Bat! for storage.

* I export an email from Tutanota as an EML file.

* I import it into The Bat! by Tools —> Import Message –> From .EML/MSG-files...

* But nothing is displayed in the list of emails (middle panel) except 'Received', 'Created' and 'Size'.

* The email is displayed correctly, with pictures, in the Preview pane, but the only headers above the email are 'Created' and 'Received', even though I have ticked 'Subject' and 'Sender'.

* When I open the EML file with a text editor, 'Sender:' and 'Subject:' are there, and all looks OK in the headers.

* Similarly, Right-click –> View Source on the displayed email in The Bat's preview panel gives what seems to be an identical result as when I opened the EML file with a text editor.

What am I doing wrong?  It is very difficult to work with emails whose Subject and Sender are not displayed.

Which version of The Bat is this?
When you export a (random, properly displaying) message from The Bat and import it back, does it have this same problem, or is it restricted to messages exported from Tutanota?

I'd recommend that you report the problem to the developers using the Support menu near the top of this page, and include an .EML file that you exported from Tutanota.

Good suggestion, Daniel, which I should have thought of myself.  So I have just now exported an email from The Bat! to an EML file and then imported it into The Bat! again.  There was no problem — it displays exactly as it did before,

I then tried another test: I exported an email with pictures from Tutanota to an EML file.
— When I Right-click the EML file —> Open With —> Mail Viewer (portable from CoolUtils), it displays properly, showing Subject and Sender.
— When I Right-click the EML file —> Open With —> The Bat!, it displays without Subject or Sender.

This seems to indicate that it is not just the import procedure that is causing the problem — perhaps The Bat's rules for reading email headers are stricter than Mail Viewer's rules?  Yet I cannot see any obvious problem with the headers of the EML file exported from Tutanota.

As you say, it needs a developer's expert eye on the EML file exported by Tutanota.  I will send it to Support for their judgement.
