Aaargh! Forgot password, A dozen years after using it last!

I installed 8.8.9 and copied from an archive of my old inbox but... I know there's no hope of accessing the emails but I need to commiserate! Thanks for listening.

There are several 3d party tools that claim to recover The Bat passwords though. I have never used one and therefor cannot recommend any, but if you google for "The Bat password recovery" you should see several options. I volunteer as a moderator to help keep the forum tidy. (Account > Set Access Password...). If the former, can you access the mail via a web browser? Those web passwords are usually pretty easy to get around or re-set - try the Nirsoft site for some useful utilities as a start off.
