I like the dark themes but many messages (particularly HTML) don't display well. Can I force all messages to display in their original "light" view, even when using a dark theme?

If you don't have the installer for 11.3, you can find the link on the German forum: |

No. The CEF viewer does it correctly on its own, the alternative viewer does not. |

For me it doesn't work in beta v11.4.0.7, just reverts to the alternative viewer (v11.4 is fine). Apparently for the OP the same is happening in v11.4. This CEF update in v11.4 seems to be a bit fickle. |

I can tell visually, there are clear cues: the alternative viewer not adjusting to the dark theme, messages rendered differently, the small border that the CEF viewer puts around messages and the alternative one doesn't... |

For me, same issue in the new v11.4.1 as in beta v11.4.0.7: in the classic preview pane, the CEF viewer is not used, but rather the alternative one. Rolled back to v11.4 and will report to support.

Thanks for confirming. After interacting with support they convinced me I misdiagnosed the problem, CEF is used after all. Just that it is not handling dark themes properly. Actually, there are strange artefacts even in the classic theme, like the dark scroll bar on the right side. Now they should be fully aware of the problem. I reluctantly switched to the classic theme in v11.4.1. since in the dark theme some HTML messages are totally unreadable (black text on a black background, etc.). |
