Hello everyone!
New forum user here, have been using TheBat for more than 2 decades now
. Mainly happy with the application, so keep up the good work!
Unfortunately I spotted some time ago kind of a bug and because I want to use the feature color groups even more and more for the future, I want to share the issue and hope that I could receive some kind of feedback regarding it.
I am running Win11 with The Bat 9.5.1. For test purposes I tried the demo of 11.4.2.1 on a fresh installed VM with Win11 and it behaves the same.
I want to use color groups to mark the status of my job applications, it is kind of a lifecycle of the application. For now I have 5 of them:
30_To_Do / 31_Waiting / 32_Invitation / 33_Reject / 34_No_Reply
I have two IMAP accounts where job mails are incoming/outgoing and want to have a virtual folder over both IMAP accounts and their respective Inbox / Sent folders. Only mails having one of the 5 statuses named above should appear in the virtual folder.
The bug is, that whenever I try to set up those values as Filter for the virtual folder, TheBat is saving only some of the values on a random basis. The rest is listed as "default group" instead of "Reject", for example. The filter seems to be applied correct, at least on the first save. If I then go once again and try to double check the settings, then (on a random basis) after clicking OK TheBat is applying a filter based on the defaut color group, which leads to the case that the virtual folder is listing all messages instead of the "colorgrouped" ones. Below is a sceenshot for better understanding, I am using the German GUI.
The are here
TLDR: It seems that the color group names are not visualized properly after saving them in a filter for a virtual folder.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
