How do I update OAUTH authorization after password change?

I have changed password for my Microsoft Office 365 account. Now The Bat! version 12 can no longer connect (log shows "Authentication failed, IMAP server response is "AUTHENTICATE failed."", followed by "BYE Connection closed. 14").

Do I have to re-create the mailbox from scratch now and redownload everything or is there a way of updating the account authorization?

I don't use Microsoft e-mail accounts, but let me give it a shot through analogy with GMail.

In Google Account settings, Google allows one to view and manage the list of apps/programs that have authenticated permissions to access content and services on Google's servers. If I wanted to force re-authentication of The Bat! for GMail, a would delete The Bat! from that list. I hope something like that is possible with Microsoft's services.

You don’t need to recreate the mailbox or redownload everything. This usually happens because the saved credentials are no longer valid after the password change. Just go into your account settings in The Bat!, update the password (or re-authenticate if using OAuth), and make sure the authentication method matches Office 365 requirements. After that, it should connect normally again.
