Syncing Address Book, Syncing Address Book (with groups/subgroups) across three computers in The Bat! 12.2

Hello,

I'm running The Bat! 12 on three computers, all of which are kept running at the same time. I'd like the Address Book to stay in sync across all three, including the full group and subgroup structure (the address book tree), and ideally without any manual work.

What I've tried so far:

1. Gmail Contacts synchronization — contacts come across, but groups and subgroups are not preserved.

2. CardDAV against a woelkli (Nextcloud-based) server — the same as with Gmail.

My questions:

- Is there any supported way to keep the Address Book in sync across multiple machines while preserving the group/subgroup hierarchy?

- Is the CardDAV implementation expected to omit groups entirely, or am I missing a setting that would export group membership?

For now I've fallen back to manually copying the .ABD files (plus ADDRBOOK.INI)

Any guidance on whether automatic, group-preserving sync is achievable would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Nenad

There is no such a feature. Ask on bt.ritlabs.com new feature

Are you familiar with Directory Monitor? From what I've heard, it can monitor files for changes and run a batch file when it detects any (e.g. to copy said files to the other two computers).

@Daniel, I do not think that would work. I believe that The Bat must not be running in order to copy a new address book over an existing one.

This forum doesn't send notifications, so please don't expect any.

That's most likely true, but said batch file could check if the computer has been idle for a while and then exit and relaunch The Bat (to exit The Bat programmatically, run it with the /Exit command line parameter).
