Multiple sent message copies: Odd (see below)

There is a single e-mail address to which I send messages with some frequency.  It's a gmail address.  When I send the message, I wind up with between 2 and 10 partial messages (prior to when I finish composing) in the sent folder, with the park flag enabled.  The final message also is in the sent directory, without the park flag.  I have many other gmail addresses to which I send messages where this does not happen.  It's just this one address.  And, it happens every time.  Outlook IMAP account.

It's annoying.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Lurk your filters. May be you have in some of them "parking" condition.

A quick way to disable filters is in Account -> Properties -> Mail management -> IMAP Fine-Tune: select "Do not use filters".

A possible workaround: Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor: increase Auto-save time.

It's not filters.  Will try the autosave time mod.

But, why with just a single e-mail address.  This never happens otherwise.

Yeah, it is a bit bizarre. If it were universal, I'd suspect connection problems with the IMAP server, or something to that effect.

Come to think of it, there could be some external process interfering, like antispam/malware on your machine or on the server side, not liking that address for some reason. And having a bad interaction with autosave.

My guess would be a folder mapping conflict between Gmail and The Bat, involving the Drafts folder (Outbox).

Yeah, Account -> Properties -> Mail management. TB often does not assign them automatically.

It's Outlook, not Gmail, FWIW.  And, I don't see anything in the Mail Management setup that would account for this.

It remains odd.

Thanks for commenting.

OK, I created an Outlook IMAP account just to try this.

The Mail Management window should look like this: https://imgur.com/a/pAwxISL

Note the "For pre-defined folders, use these IMAP mailboxes section". On the left you check the box corresponding to the local mail folder, on the right you sel ect the appropriate one on the server.

TB didn't do any of this on it's own for me. Setting up the folders in this way may actually solve your problem, and also sync the messages in the corresponding folders properly, so they are kept on the server side as well. When you do this, TB should transfer the messages fr om your local folders to the remote ones, but just to be on the safe side do back up your message base first, in case something goes bad.
