Double Folders

Hi

In my Bat are the folders from the main account available twice.
One folder tree is under the main account and the other at the bottom of the list.
When I delete the bottom tree, the tree under the main account is deleted too. But in the bottom tree are 0 messages.
How can I get rid of this folder tree at the bottom?

Thanks a lot
Tobias

It sounds like your configuration for common folders has gone corrupt.
Are you using common folders? (folders not belonging to any account)
If not then the easiest solution is to close TB and delete the account.flb file from your mail directory, when you've been using TB since v1, you can delete the account.flx file too.

When you are using common folders, you should do the same, but you have to move the directories matching your common folders to somewhere else.
Start TB, create your common folder again (with the same names), close TB and move the directories back.

No, I'm not using common folders.

I tried to delete all this *.flb files, but now, the whole folder structure is gone (ctrl-alt-shift-l doe not recover them). After restoring the *.flb files, except this one in the MAIL folder, the structure is back, but also this empty structure on the bottom.
I've read in the forum, that I'm not the first who has this problem (http://www.ritlabs.com/en/forum/read.php?FID=4&TID=1394&MID=5847&phrase_id=904172)
But I didn't find a solution, as this user.
Another Idea?

I used to have exactly the same problem (without common folders) and was not able to solve it in an easy way.

What I did is created a new account, created the same folder structure, then copy-pasted settings, templates and filters from the old to the new one (you can probably do this automatically, at least in part, by moving some config files or by export/import).
Then I closed TB and moved all the MESSAGES.TBB files from the physical folders belonging to the old account to the folders of the new account.
Then when all was OK, deleted the old account from TB and its entire main folder from disk.

Needless to say, backup everything first.

You may first try the Folder -> Maintanence -> Check integrity/Repair option - I'm not sure what it actually does.

Hi Brunner,

I have exactly the same problem. I tried resolving it with Ritlabs but unable to. Now trying the TB forum at "The Bat! Unofficial Support Forums".

See my post at: http://www.donzeigler.com/tbforums/index.php?PHPSESSID1=&board=4.0

So you are not alone and if I can find the answer I'll post it.
