I always keep receiving the mail have already been replied, that 's annoying !

any one who can help me ?

Please describe your problem a little better.

Are you receiving the same messages again and again?
If so, is this only the case for messages you replied to or for all messages?
Or are you receiving your own replies back?

What account type are you using? POP3 or IMAP.
When POP3, do you store messages for x days on server?

What TB version number are you using, what OS, what connection, what plug-ins? How many accounts, wehat proxy sever.

Thanks for your remind :|

yes, I have receive the the same mail again for twice, but it seems received randomly and just receive part of them , not all of them
that make me nealy crazy!

2,I just received the incoming message, but not my sent one.

3,I use p0p3. yes, I store the massage  on server  :o
and for one of my mailbox,I must store it , because it is shared by 3 ppl.

5,I have used 3.62pro and 2.12, both of them have the same problem.
the OS is W2K SP4.
I use 512k adsl, and no plug-in, 2 account , use proxy server (which is paid proxy and it's steady).

Are you receiving double messages only on the account that's set to keep messages on server for x days? Or for the other too.
When you say 'part of them' does that mean that you're receiving a part ofthe message, or that you don't receive all messages twice?
What interval are you using between pop3 conncts?
Is your connection steady or do you experience random disconnections?
Are you using a virus scanner that checks your incoming mail in real time?

When you receive only some of the messages twice on the server you're storing messages, did you try whether this occurs with other clients too?

I have 2 email, and this phenomaoa is for both.I choose "keep the message in server"

2,yes, just receive part of them, not all .and it seems randomly receive.

3,I retrive mail every 5 minutes.

4,I get good conntion.

5,I dont use any virsus scanner .

6,yes, I have tried Thebat! and Becky!, both like this, but foxmail is Ok. so I dont know why.

Thanks in advance!

Both Becky and TB use UIDLs distibuted by the server in order to decide whether they've downloaded the message before.
Some servers reset those UIDLs when the messages have been accessed via IMAP or webmail, apparently foxmail uses something different, or you were just lucky.

you may also want to check your logfile - as far as I could figure that out, TB uses the UIDLs stored in its logfile to decide if a mail has to be fetched again... at least I had the effect of re-getting fetched mails after some guys sent me an email with a null byte code in the subject (having the effect that the log was not read beyond that point and all later mails were re-fetched)

so - but this is only an educated guess now - I think it may well depend on the size of a log file to have sufficient space for all messages held on the server?!

or has anybody more precise knowledge about the way TB holds the fetched UIDLs?

TB stores the UIDLs in the account.m_d or account.m_r (I'm not sure about which one), not in the log file.

if I should guess: m_r = messages received?! more over: in my account m_d is empty and I'm using this feature intensely... ok... this however does not correspond with my experiences, but of course it may have been a side effect of the log file shortening...
