Message in HTML and template?

I usually prefer to send email in plaintext and use prefigured sig templates - working fine.
Once in a while I would like to insert an excel spreadsheet into the email and in these cases I have to switch to HTML as otherwise the formatting of the spreadsheet gets lost.
I notice that under HTML the signature template looks different - almost greyed out. While the recipient can still see it, it is very small and faint. Is there any set-up that needs adjustment in this case?

It works as designed, but you can change the fonts:

Options -> Preferences -> HTML/Wndows Editor

Thanks, that is what I was looking for.

You mention that it works as designed - can you explain why the signature in HTML is meant to be faint? If there is some common expectation that this is supposed to be, I don't want to break any netiquette rules without understanding more.

It's not ment to be faint, but TB's  default is set to have it faint. That's just because the signature isn't a very important part of the message, so most people skip them anyway, having them in a liughter font makes it easier to recognize.

But as I said before, you can alter that setting via:
Quote
Options -> Preferences -> HTML/Wndows Editor

That's fine - I now understand the editing and realise that it's not faint but silver by default. So easy to change.

One more thing I noticed:
When sending the email in HTML due to the excel spreadsheet, it seems to work fine for the recipient and looks normal in my email/compose window.
However, once I have to refer back to this in my sent folder, it does not show the spreadsheet in HTML but all info in lines below each other making it more difficult to work with.
Where can I adjust this please?

That's because you are viewing it in the text mode.
Click on the HTML tab at the bottom of the preview pane and you'll see it as html.

You can also set this as default in:
Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor
