Should it be easyer to reply to a mail with the valid certificate attached while the replying person does not have any certificates at all?

Currently the Bat! has S/MIME|OpenPGP settings common for all accounts.
I've got the certificate for one of the available accounts while other accounts are not certified.
I must have S/MIME's Always encrypt to sender's certificate check-box marked to be able to read my outgoing messages later.

I see two solutions:
- either to make S/MIME|OpenPGP settings per account;
- or (if there is no sender's certificate) ask user if he understands|accepts that the message would be encrypted with the recipient's certificate only and proceed with it;

I like the first one better.

Another suggestion:
- to make the Put in the OutBox button a multi-choice one, i.e. the default action is to use the S/MIME|OpenPGP settings, the right-side drop-down list should allow to override|modify the default settings.

The background:
I've got the certificate, but I do not want to always encrypt with it, I just choose to Sign when completed mostly. To avoid going to preferences to enable encryption - I've put the extra "button" on the message toolbar (see pic.1) which I activate when the encryption is needed. It works but clutters my screen, I'd like more general approach to this.

There are multi-choice buttons in the Bat! already - like the Reply one (see pic.2).
I hope that these are good ideas that will help to improve the usability of already nearly perfect mail client.

You can enable/disable S/MIME per account:
Account -> Properties -> Options -> Enable S/MIME

You don't need to change the default settings in order to encrypt incidental messages. The message editor has a 'Privacy' entry on the menu bar, you can (un)check the encrypt/sign options per individual message.

I want the whole set of options to be per account, like if I have no certificate on one of them, then I would disable always encrypt to sender's... option. This is the global option now.

The Privacy is far too deep to my liking...
Look at the Opera browser - all the UI is user-configurable, I'd like to have the same here.

Well, add it to the wish list. As has been mentioned before on this forum, this is not the place to add wishes, this is a place to help people to configure The Bat! with the available possibilities.

What do you mean with to deep? Per default two mouse clicks in the editor. That's better than your workaround. And if you really want it closer at hand, just drop it in the toolbar or in the menu, after all TB's UI is configurable too.
