Tools --> Import Messages --> Greyed Out

I want to import some messages but when I try to use the Tools --> Import Messages menu all the possibilities are greyed out. Any idea why, and suggestions as to how to fix?

Make sure that in your account display pane you have an account folder highlighted before you select the Tools-->Import Messages-->Mailbox Import Wizard option.

Thanks Dempsey. I have also discovered that it has to be a POP folder. I generally use an IMAP service but for the purposes of this exercise I used a POP folder as an intermediate step.

I selected the account but all still greyed out - do I have to register first.  That would be an issue - I installed Eudora earlier (all 30 plus  flababytes of it) and the import feature was rubbish - I have 2 years archive of emails and the import was useless - Eudora was immediately uninstalled.  Lesson is - I am not paying until I see the import work !

You don't have to register first, but you've got to select a folder in the account, not the account itself and it won't work when you're using an imap account.
