help for a "regexp is wrong : regular expression too large" message, when double clicking (or right click + open) on an attachment...

i get this error message with my new 3.71.03 version. I don't know what's going on... Right click and save or other commands work...

TIA for any help !

What regular expression are you using when you get this error?

none !

Does this happen every time you open an attachment or only when you're opening it for the first time?

Alexander Petrari just mailed me the solution : it seems that the list of file extensions under "Options/Preferences/Protection/Disable opening of
these files" was duplicated several times (i promiss i did'nt modify anything there !), so setting it to *.EXE,*.COM,*.BAT,*.CMD,*.VBS,*.PL,*.BAS,*.JS,*.JAVA,*.REG,*.SHS,*.PIF,*.SCR,*.DLL,*.SSH,*.CHM,*.HLP,*.LNK,*.{*},*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.{*} (default list) solve the problem.

Maybe a bug when upgrading ???

Thanks a lot again Alexander, great support !

Hello,
I agree with Christophe Antoine.
The list I have in the preferences has 26494 repetitive characters.
"
*.EXE,*.COM,*.BAT,*.CMD,*.VBS,*.PL,*.BAS,*.JS,*.JAVA,*.REG,*.SHS,*.PIF,*.SCR,*.DLL,*.SSH,*.CHM,*.HLP,*.LNK,*.{*},*.CPL,*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.{*},*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.{*},*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.{*},*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.{*},*.PIF,*.SCR,*.SHS,*.{*},*.
" and so on...

I made a reset of the string. Now, it's working correctly.
