9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - Initiating TLS handshake
>9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - Certificate S/N: 3FDECE, algorithm: RSA (1024 bits), issued from 05 Sep 2005 to 05 Sep 2006, for 1 host(s): smtp.gmail.com.
>9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - Owner: US, California, Mountain View, Google Inc, smtp.gmail.com.
>9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - Issuer: ZA, Western Cape, Cape Town, Thawte Consulting cc, Certification Services Division, Thawte Premium Server CA, premium-server@thawte.com.
!9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - TLS handshake failure. Invalid server certificate (This certificate has expired).
9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - connection finished - 0 messages sent
9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - Some messages were not sent - check the log for details

If you have a look at the above log my the problem is this line :

Quote
!9/4/2007, 11:43:35: SEND  - TLS handshake failure. Invalid server certificate (This certificate has expired)

Is it possible gmails TLS to has expired? Is this a BAT! problem?

Thanks

Athan

Most probably this is your windows does not have the current (Equifax's) certificate that Google uses now.

I think you could use any browser to https://mail.google.com and try to fetch and install their current cert.
