PDF attachment???, Attaching PDF from Acrobat results in garbled email

Acrobat Pro 7 has a new feature that lets the user email the pdf as an attachment.

When I click this button in Acrobat, it opens up the Bat new message window but the file is not attached and all I get is this:

‡ѕ9Јуd°?.?н1ЁЖ©„ШАћ©Bа@?Ы¦h?ЯГ—L4iкnћ™cиKЄr«iъ<лбI:ДАЁўЂ$4тј

This feature was working fine with Outlook 2003 and Thunderbird.

Any ideas?

Infact this happens when I select the option of Send via Email from applications such as Word, Excel, OPen Office.

I get in the body of the message window:

‡ѕ9Јуd°?.?н1ЁЖ©„ШАћ©Bа@?Ы¦h?ЯГ—L4iкnћ™cиKЄr«iъ<лбI:ДАЁўЂ$4тј

Any ideas?

I have found out the problem is a MIME problem. How do I correct this in The Bat!?

When I click on the "Simple MAPI request handler" button in Preferences, it gives me this error message:

Simple MAPI handler was not installed - cannot overwrite system default MAPI.DLL

I would appreciate some feedback on this. I really need this function to work.

Unfortunately this is a peer to peer support forum an apparently none of the users present on this forum has any idea how to correct your problem. I've never encountered your problem, so I can't help you here.
I've always been able to install TB's simple MAPI both on Win8 as on WinXP.
It might help though, if you told us something more specific about the version of TB you're using, what's your OS, whether your logged on as an admin or a restricted user. That you can't overwrite the simple mapi request handler might point to not having full access rights on your system, but that's hard to say through a couple of firewalls.

I have v3.80.03 professional. I am using XP Pro. I am the Administrator account.

Simple MAPI handler was not installed - cannot overwrite system default MAPI.DLL

I get the above error when I press the "Simple MAPI request handler" button twice. When pressed the first time, it is successful.

So I gather that when most of users using The Bat go to File>Send>As Attachment in MS Word or any other application, The Bat opens up a new message window the file attached?

It's been a while since I tried it, but that's the way it was.

Please try it so I know if something is wrong with my setup or something is wrong with The Bat!.

This is what I have in the win.ini file: is it correct??
