Outlook style message view

Is it possible to have an "outlook" style two line message list?

Outlook shows messages like this:

Code
Sender Name         Date
Subject line here

This saves horizontal space and means you can easily fit a folder list, message list and message preview on the screen in vertical columns.

Can't be done.

Perhaps it could be added as a new feature?

Maybe, but this is not the place for feature requests. This forum is intended for peer to peer support by end-users (just like you and me).

You can insert wishes in the wish list, by logging in to:
https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php
Choose 'The Bat! wishes' and add a new item.
First check whether someone has made the same wish, then you can
support that wish.
Wishes that are supported by more users are more likely to be granted
than wishes by one. And the system isn't smart enough to understand
that wishes might be the same.
And add just one wish per entry. Makes everything easier, both for
other users who want to add support and for the developers.

Okay, will do

I realise I'm resurrecting an ancient thread here, but I wanted to make a request for exactly the same feature as the original poster. I'm sure many others have probably made the same request, but I couldn't find a more recent thread. About the only good reason to use Outlook or Windows Mail is the two-line message list, which in my opinion makes much more sensible use of screen space than The Bat's single-line view.

I tried to follow the advice in Roelof's post, but I couldn't find a "Wishes" option in the Bug Tracker area. What is the best way to make such requests (where other users can add their views)?

The wishes category went away when the database crashed. Others have just started the subject line with "WISH". I have no idea if that is officially approved or not

Thank you, Rick. In case anyone is interested I have made the request.
