The Bat 3.80.6 will not close without giving an error or..

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but here's my problem: whenever I try to close the program, it starts and finishes processing my folders and then I receive a Windows message saying that "The program has encountered an error and needs to close", OR The Bat starts eating my CPU power up to 99% and I have to shut it down via the task manager. How can I solve that?

Also, why do my folders keep being processed every time, when this option is OFF for all of them? This takes so much time to shut down my computer.. I hope someone can help with these issues.

They're being compressed because of:
Account -> Properties -> Options -> Compress all folders on exit
I strongly advise against disabling that, especially when there's a lot to be done (takes a long time) because it's necessary then.

When there's an error you should to find with what folder that is. Then you copy all messages to a new folder and delete all messages in the problem folder and compress the folder.

It's not about one single folder or stuff. They are processed all the way, it seems to be the bat itself that causes the error.
And what about the insane CPU usage? Sometimes it starts when I'm not even attempting anything, when the bat is sitting in the tray.

and about "Compress all folders on exit" - this feature has always been turned off. They are still keep being processed!

What version are you using? And what OS?

Did you ever try to compress your folders one at a time. (I hope you don't have hundreds of them)

Whenever you encounter a problem folder, simply create a new folder and copy all messaes to it. Afterwards delete the problem folder. Do this for all folders, my best guess still is that something(s) went corrupt.
