memory footprint

I would like to have my email client running in the background most of the time that I'm working, but that is a substantial amount of my total memory. By comparison, I think Eudora used less than 3mb when minimised. Any comments?

I'm using TB for years and never checked this.
Now I did - after starting TB, it takes about 28MB (TB window has focus, Inbox folder active). If then I minimize it, it frees nearly everything - only ~1MB remains. If I then restore it again, it uses ~5MB.
If I open another folder, mem usage increases but never reaches the initial amount of 28MB.
Whenever I minimize it (to taskbar, not to tray), it always goes to ~1MB.

My mail folder is ~ 0.5GB, after a recent serious cleanup.

So the memory management seems to be pretty good - it does not occupy memory when loaded but inactive.

(some kind of wierd memory leak?) Im just downloading the 3.95.03 update now.. and i'm hoping this fixes a couple of the critical errors that surfaced in 3.95.01
