I'm feeling very stupid at the moment because I have been reading a lot different topics about connecting to Gmail's SMTP but still cannot manage to get it working. POP3 connection works fine.
I'm using the following settings:
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Connection: Have tried both Secure to regular port (STARTTLS) and Secure to dedicated port (TLS)with ports 465 and 587.
Authentication:
Perform SMTP Authentication (RFC 2554): Checked
Use specific settings: Selected
Username: user@gmail.com
Password: password
When connecting I get the following error:
SEND - Couldn't connect to 66.249.93.109 trying subsequent addresses...
SEND - Connecting to 66.249.93.111
SEND - Could not connect to the server
Could it be that my firewall at work and home are blocking the connection? But still POP3 is working.
